Well in the 1900's the United States had the strongest industrial economy in the world!! All because of the Horizontal Integration, Vertical Integration, Laissez-Faire and Social Darwinism. At the time each and every one of these things helped the United States greatly.
The Horizontal Integration describes a type of ownership and control. This is what was used by a business or a corporation that seeks to sell a type of product in all or some of the markets.
The Vertical Integration describes a style of ownership and control. To degree to which a firm owns its upstream suppliers and its downstream buyers determines how vertically integrated it is. Vertically integrated companies are united thriugh a hierarchy and share a common owner. example of vertical integration was the Carnigie Steel company.
Laissez-Faire in french means Let Do. It was a doctrine that maintains that private initiative and production are best allowed to roam free, opposing economic interventionism and taxation by the state beyond that which is perceived to benecessary to maintain individual liberty, peace, security, and property rights. It also embodies the nation that a government should not be in the business of granting privelages. The Laissez-Faire had the idea that the government should not create legal monopolies or use force to damage de facto monopolies. The supporters support the notion of free trade on the grounds that the state should not use tariffs and subsides in order to trade through national frontiers.
Last but not least Social Darwinism was an idea made up of Charles theory. That just competition between individual organisms drives biological evolutionary change through survival of the fittest.

the horizontal shaped it cuz the people from the same industrie joined together as many firms possible. And the vertical shaped cuz this involves taking controlof each step in the production and distributions of a product. And the laissez fair shaped cuz it was like a demand that the enconemy had to do it.And the social darwinsim shaped cuz they discourageed governent regulation of business practice. posted by arhonda ferrell

Horizontal intergration are compaines that buy other compaines that are comation to them like oil.Vertical integration is almost the same, but they buy the compaines that make the parts they need to make something like a car.Vertical buys the part to make the car and horizantal would buy the car to sell it.laissez-faire was a policy were they didn't let the prouduct go to high for consumetrs to buy.Social darwinism was an idea that the strongest would survive and the weakest would not.It was like the richiest would get richer and the poor would get poorer. page 171 Beatris Lopez

The horizontal integration was a little diffrent.Like they baught refineries to gain control of the oil refining industry.vertical buys the parts to make cars.laissez-faire translates to allow to do.Social darwinism is the theory of revolution,It held the best run buisness led by the most capable people who would survive and prosper.Social darwinism Argued the goverment should leave buisnesses alone to succed or fail on their own.

BY THE 1900 UNITED STATES HAD THE STRONGEST INDUSTRIAL ECONOMY IN THE WORLD.THE FIRST STRATEGY WAS HORIZONTAL INTEGRATION. THIS APPROACH CALLED FOR JOINING TOGETHER AS MANY FIRMS FROM THE SAME INDUSTRY AS POSSIBLE.THE SECOND STRATEGY WAS VERTICAL INTEGRATION.CARNEGIE EXPANDED HIS STEEL COMPANY THROUGH VERTICAL INTEGRATION.CARNEGIE COMPLETE CONTROL OF THE PRODUCTION PROCESS AND THE POWER TO DOMINATE THE STEEL INDUSTRYTHE FRENCH PHRASE LASSEZ-FAIRE TRANSLATED AS ALLOW TO DO. ~NATASHA QUINN

In the 1900's the United States was well known for there strongest industrial economy in the world. Horizontal Integration was one of the main causes of this.
Horizontal Integration is a type of ownership and it shows domination. Many business' used this tactic to sell a product in just about every market. The Horizontal Integration was obvisly very effective and powerful.

Vertical Integration has basicly the same idea of Horizontal Integration. The difference is Vertical Integration shows a style of power and ownership insted of a type. The firm owns all of its upstream and downstream suppliers. The buyers determine how vertically inegrated it is.

Laissez-Faire is a doctrine that maintains a private initiative and production that are allowed to roam free. they appose economic interventions and taxation by the state. Basicly, it helps maintain all of americas rights.

Social Darwinism explains the competion between the poor, the wealthy, and the wealthiset. If your rich you will stay rich, if your poor, you stay poor.

In the 1900s the U.s was named the strongest industrial econamy i the world. the reason is because of the stratagies that were given like horizantal integration and the vertical integration. The laissez-faire was a big part in the indasrial buissness it told the government that they couldn't interfear with the economy.the horizantial integration called for joining together of many firms of the industry. the vertical integration approched involved that taking controllof each step in the production distrabution. And those are some stratagies that helped the U.S econemy.

They all help businesses grow larger and more powerful by the first strategy was the Horizontal integration this strategy was approached it called fro the joining together for as many firms from the same industry as possible.
The 2nd strategy was called Vertical Integration it approached involving taking control of each steps in the production and distribution of a product, or something acquring materials that were raw from the manufacturing , packiging, and shipping.
The laissez-faire was a doctrine held that the market through supply and demand would regulate itself if gov. did not interfere to the french this phrase meant fofr them to allow things to happen. T o the politival leaders it meant thaat for whoever messed with there business have to leave there business alone.
Then another idea that they ahd was the Social Darwinism it discouraged goverment to regulate of business practices. but from the guy that knew about it said that social darwinism held that the best-run business led by the most capable people wold survive of the fittest.

In the 1900's the united States was known as the strongest economy. It was the strongest econonmy because of the horizontal and vertical integartion. Not just that but because of the laissez fair and also because of the social darwinism. Everything that i just listed is what helped the United States. The horizontal integration showed or described a type of ownership and control. As for vertical integration discribed a style of ownership and control. Then theres the laissez fair which is lat do in french. the United States used to get whatever they wanted. And the social darwinism an idea for survial of fittest. -Sequoyah Thomas-
